THE STORY
The welcoming arch that stretches across its avenues embraces the downtown Gaslamp District as the historic heart of San Diego. The 16 ½ block stretch, not far from the bay, is filled with entertainment and nightlife. Its restoration in the 1980s brought new life to the district and made downtown San Diego a desirable place to be.
